Whatever your opinion of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, the former VP candidate certainly has style. Website WWD.com recently reported on Palin’s sassy Naughty Monkey pumps, noting that the heels “weren’t part of Palin’s now-infamous $150,000 wardrobe,” but instead a purchase from Juneau, Alaska shoe addict-enabling Shoefly + Hudsons.

The shop, opened in 2005 by business partners Sydney Mitchell and Dawn Walsh, carries an array of rugged-meets-girly footwear, from strappy sandals to colorful cowgirl boots.
Of Palin’s shopping sprees, Mitchell stuck to the store’s “what happens at Shoefly + Hudsons stays at Shoefly + Hudsons” policy (okay, that’s really just in regard to sharing the personal info of those who sign up for the email newsletter) but she did says
this: “Obviously she’s a busy elected official and doesn’t spend a lot of time shopping.” But when Palin does stop in, “Usually there’s a family member with her. Last time she had Trig with her. She’s very personable and gracious and fun to help.”

As for the governor’s taste? Petite Palin “tends toward heels,” reveals Mitchell.
Palin might consider a pair of metallic pumps, like those (pictured to the right, by Sofft)
included in the store’s new inventory.
Mitchell enthuses that Shoefly + Hudsons is also excited about new shoes by Neonsens (from Art) and, “We love Miz Mooz.”
