Elizabeth, size 6 1/2, has come a long way since her Doc Martin days. The teenage angst is gone, but her love of a great boot still remains. Born and raised in Texas, Elizabeth earned her Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from the University of Texas in 2006.  After dabbling in insurance for a while-—those were some dark years—she moved on to get her Master’s in journalism, with a concentration in magazine publishing and graphic design, from Northwestern University in 2008. Elizabeth is passionate about reporting on urban issues, and she believes journalism can change the world, one shoe at time. Elizabeth is a random individual who loves to laugh. And, oh, did we mention she loves Texas? She currently lives away from the mothership, working as a Chicago-based freelance writer, but hopes to return to Longhorn country one day.
