Karen Krolak can’t remember which size jazz sneaker she prefers but she wears either an 8 or 8 1/2 in street shoes. As the founder and artistic director of Monkeyhouse, an award winning nonprofit that connects communities to choreography (Voted Best Dance Company in Boston twice!!), she’s been spotted on stages all over the U.S., dancing in drywall stilts, stilettos, and roller skates. Karen’s a regular contributor to Monkeyhouse’s blog and teaches at Impulse Dance Center in Natick, MA.
