Mommy Daughter Shoes

At some point between the birth of my first child (two years ago) and now, I lost the will to shop for myself.

Maybe it was the 50 pounds I gained, lost and then gained again in my second pregnancy. Or maybe it was the concerns over my clothing budget versus my childrens’. But it was probably the obvious: why should a Stay at Home Mama look fashionable?

Mostly I wear workout clothes. Since I spend upwards of two hours working out everyday, it just makes sense. But the question still vexed: can a Mama look hot and still be practical?

And then, like a beam of light from the heavens, came the answer.

They come in adult and kid sizes. They sparkle and shine, but are also practical enough for both of us to wear to the park.

Ok, so in stodgy Boston, Mother/Daughter matching glitter Converse are a little out there. But we are hardly in matching Merry Widows, people. Let’s live a little. There are only so many sensible brown shoes a girl can wear before she is foaming at the mouth for a little bling.

And here it is, a little pick-me-up on an early spring day, some bling for Mama and baby alike. All for less than $100 for both. A recession deal on a happy pick-me-up in a scary time.
